Book A Terp

Terms of service

Last updated October 15, 2026

1. The service

Book A Terp provides software that interpreting agencies use to manage requests, match and schedule interpreters, and pay them. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

Keep your sign-in email secure and tell us at support@bookaterp.com if you think someone else used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Agencies

Agencies are responsible for the information they and their customers enter, for having the right to share it with us and with assigned interpreters, and for meeting the laws that apply to their work, including disability-access, privacy, and health-information rules. Agencies that handle health information must have the required agreements in place with us before entering it.

4. Interpreters

Book A Terp is not an interpreting agency and does not employ or contract interpreters. Your working relationship, rates, and obligations are with each agency you choose to work with. Keep job details you receive confidential and use them only to do the job.

5. SMS alert program

  • Program: Book A Terp job alerts. Texts about job offers, expiring offers, and changes or cancellations to jobs you accepted.
  • Opt in: only by checking the unchecked box in Settings → Alerts. Consent is not required to use the service. See how it works.
  • Frequency: varies with the number of offers you receive.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Stop: reply STOP to any message, or turn texts off in settings. You will get one final confirmation text.
  • Help: reply HELP or email support@bookaterp.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your information is handled under our privacy policy. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never shared for marketing.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no accessing other people's data, interfering with security, uploading malware, or using it to break the law.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and accurate but provide it "as is." To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will tell account holders about important changes. You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

9. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Questions: support@bookaterp.com.
